    Micro herbs galore

I already have a start me up bundle from a couple of years ago. And love it, so I gathered why not have another one to keep me going?

This newer one has new mats for the seeds and you have to scatter the seeds evenly onto the wetted mat, however it’s a bit tricky getting them on there evenly. Also I notice that one of the seed types- mustard doesn’t seem to sprout very well and I’ve only had about ten sprouts from the mat. A-shame, as it’s not cheap to buy just a packet.

    Brilliant new mats

Love the new mats! The seeds obviously love the mats because I have heaps of micro herbs. Fantastic!

    Mustard Green

I love growing my own micro herbs. The new growing matts are good value. I use a spoon to press the seeds onto the wet growing matts. I find that works well and ensure that the seeds get wet and start growing.

    FAQs

What is the optimum growing temperature?

Microgreens can be grown indoors all year round and temperature plays a major role in how quickly microgreens grow.

Generally, between 18–24 degrees celcius is optimal.

Below 12 degrees and the microgreens will struggle to germinate and above 25 degrees, it may get too hot and start "cooking" the seeds.

Do the microgreens re-grow once harvested?

Each growmat is single-use and will not re-grow once harvested. When you have finished a mat, you'll need to start a new growmat.

Pod tip: you can throw the used mat into your garden and you'll soon find vegetables will start popping up from the slower growing seeds!

Can I use my own seeds?

Yes, you can absolutely use your own seeds with our micropod system!

If you prefer to grow your own seeds, you can simply purchase our growmat only refill packs here.

    Are your microgreen seeds organic?

Our locally sourced seed varieties are untreated and non-GMO, making them suitable for organic growers.
